Show Utah Conservatory's Pupils Score in Malad Some of the pupils of the Utah Conservatory Con-servatory of Music, under the tuition of Miss Alice Mahoney at Malad, Idaho, instructor for the conservatory, appeared ap-peared in recital last Tuesday evening. J. D. Taylor, the representative for the conservatory, arranged the programme, and, under riis direction, the affair was highly successul. The hall was crowded crowd-ed to capacity and all enjoyed a delightful de-lightful evening. The following assisted as-sisted on the programme: V. (.'. Dal-by, Dal-by, violinist, J. D. Taylor, vocalist; Mrs. J. D. Taylor, dramatic reader j Lewis Williams gave an opening address on the advantages of a musical education. educa-tion. The following conservatory pupils pu-pils appeared: Charlotte Evans, "Mary Woozley, Edward Woozley, Hazel Reese, Annie Evans, Ruth Eord, Rachael Evans. Ar. C. Dalby and Miss Mahoney Ma-honey played a piano and violin duct in artistic style. The programme was a credit to the ability of Miss Mahoney as a teacher. Miss Mahoney has been teaching in Malad since November, and her work thus far shows excellent training train-ing and results. |
