Show COMMERCAIL CLUB IS 10 BE REORGANIZED Committees Are Appointed to Put Retrenchment Plan Into Operation. A reorganization of the Commercial club, with a view of strengthening its financial condition, has been outlined by the board of governors of the institution insti-tution and the details of the proposed programme "tv,rf ?-'t forth in a letter to all members yesterday. Among tho feature? of the proposed retrenchment plan are reduction of salaries and the abolishment of the publicity pub-licity bureau as a separate institution, i by which a savin i: of $,Virt a month iwill be effected. The work of the pub-! pub-! licit v bureau will be merged with that of tho secretary of the club. Kour committees have bein appointed to put the plan into operation. The reduction of the house operating expenses ex-penses is in chare of a. commit tee composed of Louis Simon, Ihjncan Mae-Viehie Mae-Viehie and "William Howen; the reduction reduc-tion of bond interest is in charge of W. F. Jensen, A. JI. ("rabbe, George Steiner and Weslcv King; to refund 'the floating debt ot the club, John Y. Uennott, J. Halloran and Georse I H. lH'rn; securing of membership, F. S. Murphy. T. W. Whiteley. G. W. Nib-ley. Nib-ley. Charles Tyi:g aud F. "C. Richmond. Though llie board expresses the opinion opin-ion that all of these savings could be ! accomplished, ir sets forth that even then the monthly operating1 expense of the club will aggregate 2775, to provide pro-vide which the following membership must be assured: 100 tustaining mem-(bers mem-(bers at flf a month each. 500 "regular members at $5 a month each and 200 nonresident members at $1.50 a month each. The work of the publicity bureau will be merged with that of the secretary i of the club on November 1 and other j retrenchments will be made as rapidlv j as practicable. G. G.
