Show FISHED REPLIES TO 1BH CHURCHILL British Admiral Says He Is Not Afraid to Stand on Record. LONDON, Nov. 16. Admiral Fisher, the form or first sea lord of .the ad-miralty, ad-miralty, made a brief but striking answer an-swer in the house- of lords today to Winston Spencer Churchill's statement in the house of commons yesterday, in which Mr. Churchill complained that he had not received from Admiral Fisher, with respect to the Dardanelles i attack, the dear guidance before or the firm support alter, to which he was entitled. "Certain references,'' said Lord Fisher, "wore made to me in the speech delivered yesterday by Mr. Churchill. 1 have been sixty-olio years in the service of my country, and t leave my record in the bauds of my countrymen. The prime minister said that Mr. Churchill had said one or two things he would better not have safd. and had necessarily and naturally left unsaid some things which should have to be said. 1 am content to wait. It is not fitting to make personal explanations affecting national interest when my country is in the midst of a great war' Lord Fisher thereupon rose and left the house. |
