Show LOCAL NOTES Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Grant and daughter, Dona Gay, of Copper-ton, Copper-ton, Mrs. Catherine Grant, Mrs. Florence Toy and Kenneth Toy spent Sunday at American Fork with Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Faddis. Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Elmo A. Nelson Nel-son joined Mr. Johnson's sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Clar-ence Anderson of Salt Lake City, for a steak fry in Big Cottonwood Cotton-wood canyon Tuesday evening. Mrs. Orson Downard and daughter, dau-ghter, Patsy, of Provo, arrived last week-end to spend several days with- Mrs. Downard's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Nerdin. Guests over the week-end and and daughters, Lois and Carma, leave today (Friday) for a week's vacation trip to Yellowstone national na-tional park and to visit relatives in Grace, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Boren returned Tuesday from a vacation vaca-tion visit with relatives and friends in Oakley, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Hugo J. Newman New-man and family left Sunday to vacation a week in Wyoming. Mr. and Mrs. Ned Jones of 31 Main street left Monday for a nine-day vacation in Bryce and Zion national parks and Fish lake. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kopesic and family of Redding, Cal., are spending the week with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kopesic Sr. of Highland Boy. Louis Petric of Chicago arrived arriv-ed Monday to visit his mother, Mrs. Mary Petric of Highland Boy. Accompanying Mr. Petric is his son, Johnny. Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Munger and daughter, Betty, of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Warren Keate of Salt Lake City were guests July 17 of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Bee. Mrs- Louis Babcock of Ogden returned home Monday after spending the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Nerdin. Ner-din. O until Wednesday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Mrs. Sidney Hardy of Lead Mine arranged a birthday party Sunday for her small son, Dee, who was three years old that day. A group of friends enjoyed ice cream and cake and games. Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Muir visited visit-ed Sunday in Midvale with Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Bird. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Bee Jr. of Bakersfield, Cal., arrived Sunday Sun-day to .stay until Thursday with Mr. Bee's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Bee Sr. of Highland Boy. Miss Virginia Johnson of Salt Lake City arrived Monday to visit a week with Mrs. T. J. Hurley. A bowl of lovely carnations centered the dining table at the home of Mrs- J. W. Holmes of Copperfield Sunday evening when she entertained at dinner in honor of her husband and her brother, H. V. Forsnes, who were celebrating their birthdays.
