Show PROSECUTION RESTS AND DEFENSE OPENS LOS ANGELES July 8. The state vested lato today m tho trial of Clarence Clar-ence S. Darrow and the noted Chicago lawyer began immediately his fight against conviction on the charge of bribing a prospective juror in the Mci-Namnra Mci-Namnra dynamiting case. Two witnesses for the prosecution, Robert Bain, the first .juror sworn to t.rj J. B. Mc-Namara, and Mrs. Dora Bain, his wife, were on tho stand today to-day and at the conclusion of Mrs. Bain's cross-examination District Attorney Attor-ney Fredericks announced that the state had concluded its case in chief. |
