Joe Wood blew up in the eleventh inning today and Washington Wash-ington defeated Boston, 3 to 1. AfLer passing a man to first, the Boston pitcher threw wild to that base to catch a runner; run-ner; Ball fumbled a hit, and Wood's delivery de-livery was found by bolh Gandll and Morgan for singles, scoring two runs and breaking the tie which had thrown the game Into extra innings.
