Show Lake City, visited Thursday evening ev-ening at the home of her father, J. E. Cunliffe. Mrs. U. Parrington is now at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Whetsel, after spending spend-ing two months in Ogden. Miss Annie Pantalone spent Saturday in Copperton as a guest of Miss Ruth Fennell. Mrs. Ellen Whetsel and Mrs-Grace Mrs-Grace Bray gave a farewell party par-ty for Mrs. George Anderson Friday Fri-day night before she moves to Copperton. Those attending were Mrs. Lucille Chestnut, Mrs. Parrington, Par-rington, Mrs. Grace Bray, Mrs. Lois Taylor, Mrs. Ellen Whetsel, Mrs. Thomas Wilson, Mrs. Dorothy Doro-thy Whetsel, Mrs. Thelma Barrett, Bar-rett, Mrs. Efva Wing, Mrs. Catherine Cath-erine Peterson, Mrs. Faye Anderson, Ander-son, Mrs. Agnes Ivie, Mrs. Lola Leatherwood, Mrs. Marie Miller, Mrs. Delia Stubbs, Mrs. Eva Watson and Miss Margaret Anderson. An-derson. Games were played and a lovely luncheon was served. Mrs. Faye Anderson won first prize, Mrs. Whetsel second and Mrs- Barrett the house prize. Many lovely gifts were presented present-ed Mrs. Anderson. A few friends gathered at the home of Miss Lorraine Swain to bid her farewell before she leaves leav-es to make her home in Copper-ton. Copper-ton. Present were Miss Marie Callas, Miss Alice Ivie, Miss Virginia Vir-ginia Barrows, Miss Martha Watts, Wat-ts, Miss Yochi Mochizuki, Miss Helen Georgelas. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Buckle of I Copperfield : Annie Panlalone Mrs. Ted Scroggin gave a farewell fare-well party Friday for the Misses Marietta Sours, Norma and Ann Swain before they left to make their homes in Copperton. Those present were Isabell Rose, Ilia and LaRue Caldwell, Genevieve Whetsel, Darlene Stevens, Earl-ene Earl-ene Hunter, Marion Carter, Bobbie Bob-bie Ivie, Teddy Stevens, Shirl Scroggin and James Brown. Games were played and refreshments refresh-ments served. Prizes were won by Norma Swain and Genevieve Whetsel Mr. and Mrs. George Anderson, Ander-son, Miss Margaret Anderson, James and Lee Cunliffe, Mrs-Thomas Mrs-Thomas Anderson and children, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Allen and children of Sandy surprised Fred Anderson of Midvale with a housewarming Saturday night. Miss Ruth Davidson of Mid-vale Mid-vale spent the week-end as the guest of Mrs. Thomas Wilson. Al Cunliffe of Salt Lake City returned home after spending a week visiting his brother and sister-in-law, Mr- and Mrs. It. L. Cunliffe and family. Miss Bessie Gardikis returned home from Park City where she spent the past two weeks visiting visit-ing her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. LaMarr Simms- Mr. and Mrs. Meredith Yates and son, John Edmund, of Salt Copper ton were dinner guests of Mr- and Mrs- Harry Sours Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. and Mrs. Miles Anderson and son, Bobbie, and daughter, Patricia, of Bluffdale, have been spending the week at the home of J. E. Cunliffe. Dixie Bullock is now recuperating recuper-ating at her home after receiving receiv-ing treatment the past few weeks at St. Mark's hospital. Relief society was held Tuesday Tues-day night at the home of Mrs- Tlvrrtn Pfttorcnn Mrs. Nick Nevers entertained for her small daughter, Norma, at a birthday party on her seventh sev-enth birthday Sunday afternoon." Those present were Beth Merrill, Gaye Wing, Jackie Barnett, Anita An-ita Gardikis, Viona Cowdell, Colleen Col-leen Cowdell, Ethel Palmer, Darlene Dar-lene Anderson, Shirley Raye Pantalone and Volita Nevers. Games were played and prizes given Anita Gardikis and Darlene Dar-lene Anderson. Home Room Mothers of the Copperfield grade school gave a lovely turkey dinner last Thursday Thurs-day evening as a courtesy to the new principal, Harold Nielsen, formerly of Lark. Including husbands hus-bands of the Home Room Mothers, Moth-ers, there were forty-five present pres-ent for the dinner. Mrs. John W-Holmes, W-Holmes, Mrs. Richard Steele, Mrs. O. R. Moore, Mrs- Earl Hunter and Mrs. Ernest Gaines were on the committee of arrangements. ar-rangements. Mr. and Mrs- Liston Bray of Murray were guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. L- Cunliffe Friday evening. |
