Jenkins entertained en-tertained Wednesday evening at a family dinner. Present were Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Williams and daughters Betty, Patricia and Mary Lou, of Sandy, and Mrs. A. T. Williams. Evans, city attorney, discussed the Utah State Bar in its relation to members of the junior bar section at the meeting meet-ing of Utah's young lawyers the evening of November 15, preliminary pre-liminary to the state bar's tenth annual convention last Friday and Saturday at the Hotel Utah, Salt Lake City. A- C. Cole, Chris T. Praggastis and Mr. Evans, local lo-cal lawyers, attended meetings. Mrs. Elliott W. Evans assisted in arrangements for the tea given Saturday afternoon by women members of the bar at the home of Governor and Mrs. Henry II. Blood and attended the dinner Friday evening at the Alta club and other auxiliary functions- Mr. Evans served the past year as junior bar representative on the Utah State Bar commission. Miss Hazel Morris, a teacher at Portage, Utah, came home Wednesday to spend Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Morris. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd H. Miller of 693 A Copperfield are parents par-ents of a son born November 12. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fenton of Highland Boy announce the birth of a son November 14 at the Bingham Canyon hospital. A son was born at the Bingham Bing-ham Canyon hospital November 16 to Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Mon-toya Mon-toya of Highland Boy. Miss Maxine Rasmussen, who is teaching this year at Coalville, came home Wednesday to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with Mr- and Mrs. J. O- Rasmussen. Mrs. F. L. Wideman of Copper-ton Copper-ton entertained the Ladies Aid at her home Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Shelley and daughters, Gail and Norma, of Apex Mine, left Sunday to spend the Thanksgiving holidays at Idaho Falls with Mrs. Shelley's Shel-ley's mother, Mrs. Joseph Holland. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Bee Jr. of Bakersfield, Cal-, arrived yesterday yes-terday to stay until Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Bee Sr. of Highland Boy. Miss Margaret and Miss Florence Flor-ence Austin and their guest. Miss Helen Harker of Delta, Colo., U-of U-of U. students, arrived Wednesday Wednes-day to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with Mr- and Mrs. Charles Charl-es L. Austin of Highland Boy. LOCALNOTES The educational talk "What Is a Junior Chamber of Commerce" given by Elliott W. Evans, national na-tional director of the U. S. junior jun-ior chamber of commerce and past president of the Bingham Jaycees, November 13 at Spanish Fork was very well received, an account in the Spanish Fork Press states. Mr. Evans was described de-scribed as one of the state's leading lead-ing young lawyers and a well-known well-known Jaycee executive. Mrs. Joseph Spendlove underwent under-went a sinus operation at the Bingham Canyon hospital Friday. Fri-day. Her condition is reported as improved. . . |
