Copperfield ji Annie Panialon ; Miss Arilla Bullock is now making her home for the remainder remain-der of the school year in Mid-vale Mid-vale with Mrs. Laura McDonald and daughters, Mary Lou and Viola, formerly of this community commu-nity and Copperton. A farewell party was given for Mrs. William Peterson Friday Fri-day previous to her leaving to make her home in Copperton. Those attending were Mrs, Bert Whetsel, Mrs. Charles Whetsel, Mrs. Ulabelle Parrington, Mrs. Lois Taylor, Mrs. LaMar Bray, Mrs. Elvvin Miller, Mrs. Floyd Miller, Mrs. Alt Ivie, Mrs. Bert Ivie, Mrs. Ned Chestnut, . Mrs. George Anderson, Mrs. Thomas Wilson, Mrs. J. McDonald, Mrs. J. J. Anderson, Mrs. Ted Scrog-gin, Scrog-gin, Mrs. Thomas Anderson, Miss Marguerite Anderson, Mrs. Fred Wing, Mrs. Paul Leather-wood. Leather-wood. After a delicious luncheon was served the ladies' presented Mrs. Peterson with a beautiful chenille bedspread. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gardikis and Nick Mulkos and son, Louie, returned from Price, Utah, Thursday, Thurs-day, Mrs. Sam Kastanis of West Jordan spent Wednesday visiting visit-ing with Mrs. James Malkos and Miss Mary Saltas. Paul, Tom and Alex Saltas and Miss Mary Saltas left Saturday for Blackfoot and Pocatello, Idaho, Ida-ho, where they will visit Mr. and Mrs. II. G. Klusen of Blackfoot and Mr. and Mrs. Pullos. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Manatos of Washington, D. C, spent Monday visiting' friends and relatives here. . . Mrs. Ted Scroggin and her Suri- day school class entertained Lois Beth Peterson with a surprise party on her twelfth birthday, Friday, Sept. 20, those attending being Ila Caldwell, Isabell Rose, Genevieve Whetsel, LaRue' Caldwell, Cald-well, Norma and Mary Ann Swain, Earlene Hunter, June Holmes and Connie Brown. The afternoon was spent playing games after which refreshments were served. Mrs. Christ Bapis has been visiting a few days in Layton with her mother, Mrs. Jim Callas. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Plastino and son, Jimmy, visited Monday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Rosa Falsetti. The Auxiliary Ladies held a business meeting Monday after which five hundred was played. Hostesses of the evening, Mrs. Francis J. Quinn, Mrs. Renold Marcon, Mrs. Ray Carl, served delicious refreshments. Prizes were won by Mrs. Richard Steele, Mrs. Quinn, Mrs. Gilbert Swain and Mrs. Earl Hunter.: Mr. and Mrs. H. W. KirkendaU returned home Saturday from Tacoma, Wash, where they visited visit-ed their son, James, now in the U. S. army air corps. |
