Mr. Underwood will make his formal announcement tomorrow night, outlining outlin-ing hiH platform. Tt is accepted hero that this action by Underwood eliminates him from the candidacy for the presidency in 191G, because it is tho tfoneral belief that he will be oloclod to the senate. Representatives Hobson and Clayton arc also senatorial candidates and Claj'-ton Claj'-ton has been named to fill the unox- Eirod term of Johnston. The senato as not seated Clayton. Senator Bankhoad is said not to be in Bympathy with the Undonvood movement. Uankhead's son is running for contrress in tho Hobson district. Should Hobson, flndincr himself out of tho running against Undonvood, oloct to withdraw and run acain for congress, con-gress, youiiff Bankhead would find himself him-self with a dangerous competitor. |
