Show ROUND MOUNTAIN IS TO HOLD A MEETING J. P. Loftus and James n. Da.vis of the mlnins: firm of Loftus & Davis returned re-turned to Goldficld today, the former from Los .Angeles and the latter from San Francisco. Mr. Loftus. who has been absent for sonic time, stated in an interview that ho has already noted a grnllfylmr improvement both In mining conditions In this district nnd in nubile sentiment as directed toward the industry indus-try In southern Nevada and t'nal apparently appar-ently there is every reason to expect a contlnuanoe of this improvement. During the time' Mr. Loftus and Mr. Davis are in Gooldficld a meetinc of the directors of tho Round Mountain Mining company will be held here at which .Important .Im-portant matters will be presented for discussion and it is probable that there will be a full meeting of the board. The company has been era n ted a new trial in Judge Avcrill's court at Tononah In the Davidson case. Wnich has tied up a larse sum of money, representing the company's earnings. that would have otherwise been distributed In dividends. With an equipment of ten standard stamps, two Nissen stamps, thre Huntington Hunt-ington mills ajid two tube mills, the Round Mountain company's reduction plant is treating an average of 200 tons dally, which is easily the largest pej-stamp pej-stamp tonnage handled by any plant in the sta.to and treatment costs are as low as those of any company. The produc -tlon has been maintained at from ?30.-000 ?30.-000 to ?38,000 monthly and there is an excellent showing of good mill ore on all levels down to t'nc S00 on the Incline. Several leases are now operating at Round Mountain, but the placer operations opera-tions arc suspended for the winter months. Goldficld Tribune. |
