In fact, the Master trade - i covered nearly all the important de- partments and resulted in gratifying K business. H Confectionery stores, boolc stores and n other concerns offering "Easter apecial- B ties or novelties also transacted a splcn- did amount of business. Furniture eon- 3 corns continued to feel the improvement improve-ment that, was noticed tho preceding week. Tho call for house furnishings, draperies, tapestries, furniture and, in fact, all house goods, grow even strougor than before, giving neat prof. I its in those lines. I Men Are Good Buyers. Tho Easter preparations wero no less marked this yonr among tho men than among those of the fair sex. Men's furnishing stores felt a docided impetus in trade, all seasonable lines included. Crockery firms also met a strong demand de-mand for hand-painted china and new designs in table service of varied styles and composition. The nianv outside visitors not only increased the Easter trado by virtue of tho nearness of that event, but swelled tho volume of staple lines.
