I CENTENNIAL STRIKES A BIG CAVE NEAR WINZE In cutting back from the winze in the Centennial to make a. station where a hoist will be set up, a large cave was struck in tho iron ledge. It is the largest natural opening that has been found on the property though a series of caves was found when the tunnel was driven. The cave was about twelve by twentv-five twentv-five feet In size and near the center is" a natural shaft that goes down thlrty-flvo feet -deeper and opens into another cave that is three or four times tho size of the upper one. Part of the sides of the openings are covered with pure white crystals of lime and tho bottom of the lower cave Is deeply covered with looao crystals that have fallen from above. The crystals arc small and the loose stuff lias the appearance of granulated sugar. Ely Expositor.
