Unable to 'cffejst an organization because of the deadlock dead-lock on the admission of miners' delegates dele-gates from Illinois, the .ioint wage conference con-ference of the bituminous coal opera-, tors and miners of Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania adjourned tonight sine die. A delegate from the miners moved 1o adjourn aud one from the operators seconded it. A call by states resulted in the only tnuminious voto recorded in the meeting today. The deadlock was brought about bv n, division on all points between the miners aud operators voting by states. Tho miners refused to agree to seating delegates from other states unless the Illinois miners were included. The rules require a unanimous vote on each proposition. The operators stood firm on the ground that (he Illinois operators hud notified both parlies that they would not be bound by anv agreement reached here. |
