Representative sheepmen from various parts of Utah met at the office of the ato board of sh'.iep commissioners Friday Fri-day afternoon to discuss the nronoscd es tablishment of a uniform period for dipping dip-ping sheep In thin state. Shecpgrowcry wcro present from Salt Luke, Utah, Weber, We-ber, Wai-atch, Iron and Garfield coun-tlos, coun-tlos, and the afternoon was given over to an Informal discussion In regard to Just what season of the year would be most, favorable for the work of dipping tho docks. There was a marked difference among the sheepraiscrs from the different sections sec-tions of the state. The men from the central part of Utah were generally in lavor of dipping in th spring, the men from the northern counties preferred tho summer, while the Bheepgrowcrs from the extreme southern counties favored the fall of the year. About twenty-live sheepmen were iu attendance at tbo meeting- and an Interesting, but entirely friendly discussion was Indulged In. The meeting win bo resumed this, Saturday, Sat-urday, morning at 10 o'clock, ami a ruling rul-ing regarding the time for dipping probably prob-ably will be made In the day. Friday's session was presided over by President Ij. It. Anderson of Ma nil. of the slate board of sheep commissioners. Secretary A A. Calllslor was also present. |
