Show FOREST RESERVE STATE LIDS ARE AWARDED Board Still Has Plenty of State Lands in National Forests For-ests to Lease. tTJ10 statc .board of land commlsloncrs Friday completed tho award of leases on statn lands,"withlu forest reserves for grazing purposes. Thirty-eight leases wore awarded upon bids ranging from 10 cents to fiU cents an acre per year. The InIS03 ru.n for ono from January 1. 1010. and a total of about 30,000 acres was leased by the board to stockmen of the state. It is estimated that the statc will receive In the neighborhood of 56000 for the lands, while hcrctoforo It has only received about $800 for them. I'ormcrly the lands within tho forest reserves have, been handled by the government gov-ernment forest officials and the state was paid a certain percentage of the rentals received from them. The board decided that It could secure more for the lands If handled by tho state officials, and hence called for bids upon them.
