Show CLUB NOTES A meeting of tlir current events and current literature section of the ladies' Literary club will bo held nt the clubhouse club-house Friday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock. IL will be an original afternoon, as only original songs, aiorlca and poetry will ho frlven. Original sioilcs will be rend by Mrs. Charles Kct-d and -Mrs. Morris L. Rhchlc. After thai, orlplnal poems will be gIVen by Josephine Spencer and Mrs. Annie Adams, mother of Miss Maude Adams. Mrs. John Reed will give a selection se-lection from Judge Goodwin's "Comstoelc Club," A musical selection, originated by Mrs. Krillb Richards, will be sung by Miss Edna Dwycr. Mrs. JSngcne Palmer will sing an original composition by Dewey Richards. The meeting will bo especially Intcrcsllng, and a cordial invitation la extended to all club-mcm-bers and their friends. The Second and Klevonth wards of the city will observe tho alinivorsary of the organization of the Relief soelelv In their respective nmuscment halls Thursday, March 17. Commencing ni il o'clock in the afternoon, a programme will be' given In tho Second ward hall, and an old-tlmo ball will b! given In the Eleventh ward hnll at night. The music section of the ladles' Literary Lit-erary club will meet Wednesduy morning at 10 o'clock at the clubhouse. Tho morning morn-ing will be devoted to American music. Miss Fannie Olds will give the paper, Including a synopsis of "The Pipe Desire," De-sire," by Frederick Converse. Vocal and Instrumental numbers from other American Ameri-can composers will be given by Mrs. Horning. Mrs..Oglesby. Mrs. Lewis, Airs. Williamson, Airs. Taylor nnd Mrs. Palmer, accompanied by Aire, Alellon. Mrs. Ai-noldson Ai-noldson will give a violin selection. All club members aro cordially Invited to be present. Section 5 of the Ladles' Aid society of ! tho First Methodist church will entertain enter-tain the ladles of the church and their friends at a St. Patrick's day party Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. J. M. Thomas. 60 Thirteenth East street. A line musical and literary programme pro-gramme will be given. A meeting of the Mondny Night Literary Lit-erary club was held at the apartment of Aliss Rosalie Pollock ' in the Kensington Alonday evening. An interesting paper on "Irish Peasants and Irish Poetry" was given by Air. Townsend. After the paper was lead a social hour was spnt and dainty refreshments wore served.
