Show ROLDO PEACOCK'S DEATH: HIS WAS A CRUEL FATE Special to Tho Tribune. EPHRAIM, June 1. The remains of RoJdo Peacock, who was killed about four miles north of Fayette yesterday, were brought lo his home in Sterling this morning and the wlfo and children are heartbroken over the affair. He left his home at about 0 o'clock vesterdav morning to work on his dry farm, and as he was about half way between Sterling Ster-ling and Fayette he must in some manner man-ner have fallen from his wagon at about 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon and his body was round at about 5 by Dr. Uag-gan Uag-gan and M. Bcauregnard of Gunnison. Gunni-son. The horses had followed the road for several yards and turned off to a canal wlicie they had tried to drink. He had no doubt fallen in the wheel as his head was between the spokes, and :is the wheel made tho first round his body was carried 'with it until It struck the bolster, which locked It. and the- body was carried in this position until tho canal was reached. Mary Jacobson. aged 22. died very sud-donly sud-donly at Moroni yesterday morning of heart trouble. |
