Mrs. Walter Tuttle was tho gracious hostess at a charming afternoon parly on Friday. Mrs, IT. N Mayo entertained at a delightful de-lightful luncheon on Friday. In her delightfully charming manner, Mrs. A. K. Tlornan entertained the members mem-bers of tho Crystal club, when seven tables of bijidgc were played, for which prizes were awarded to Mrs. Fred "Wey, Mrs. Ezra Thompson, Mrs. Frank Wcstcott, Mrs. Hughes, Mrs. McNannls, Mrs. Adams and Miss Emma Quigley. Later in tho afternoon a dainty lunch-con lunch-con was served, the decorations in the dining room boing in lavender peonies, which lent an attractive hue lo the room. The parlors and library were decorated dec-orated in a profusion of red American Beauties, making tho home attractive In the extreme. Mrs. W. W. Evans will give a china shower this afternoon complimentary to Miss Ethel Shannon. Mrs. Emily Sltzer has decided lo remain re-main in Salt Lake during the summer months. Miss Mamie Snpplngton delightfully entertained the members of her sewing club Friday afternoon. The afternoon was pleasantly spent In sewing, after which a dainty luncheon was served, the decorations being prettily carried out In roses. Tho Toadies' Auxiliary lo the United Commercial Travelers will hold its meeting meet-ing Wednesday. June S, at - p. m., at Eagles hall. After the business session the ladies will be entertained at the home of Mrs. John Struck, 11 Kensington apartments. The recital of the piano pupils of Rowland Row-land hall will be held in the First Congregational Con-gregational church this evening. Captain Willis TJllne entertained at morning parade and luncheon Friday, for Victor Gillam and Briant S. Young. A box parly was given at the Airdomo ilast: evening, at which Victor Gillam. the famous cartoonist of Judge. New York, was thf guest of honor, tendered by Briant S. Young, followed by a supper at the Louvre. In addition to the host and tho guest of the evening, the party consisted of Mrs. Man" J. Young. H. G-Williams, G-Williams, Rov Hall and Miss Laura Far-i Far-i roll. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Mackintosh. Mrs.' Brian S. Young and W. W. Mackintosh, Mack-intosh, Jr. Miss Imogen Mansfiol. for the past two seasons leading soubrctte with the Edmund Ed-mund Hayes Empire company, arrived in the city last evening from New York and will spend her summer vacation visiting with her parents.
