Show c-tr Mrs. Pete CarL of Salt Lake City, Lloyd Carl and daughter, Jeanie, of San Francisco, visited Mr. and Mrs. Dell Nell Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Nell spent Labor day in Boise at the Air base with Capt. and Mrs. Glen Nell and son, Larry. Miss Ruth Thomas has been appointed switchboard operator in the city and county building at Salt Lake City by County Commissioner Gwynne Page at a salary of $100 a month. Lark Notes .r Miss Ethel Christie of Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, was a dinner guest of Mrs. George E. Bowen at the Hotel Utah Friday evening. One of a party of 13 members of the Order of Eastern Star from Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, touring the country, coun-try, Miss Christie left later in the evening to continue her trip to the west coast. Allen Gleason arrived Friday from San Diego, Cal., for a 10-day 10-day furlough from the U. S. navy. At the home of his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Gleason, Glea-son, Allen recently returned from Hawaii. Don Hendriekson of Missoula, Mont., Miss Margaret Miller of Washington, D. C; Mr. and Mrs. Ivory Stauffer of Murray, Vyrle Stauffer of Fort Collins, Colo., and Miss Alida Thomas of Salt Lake City were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Thomas. Miss Alida Thomas is spending spend-ing this week in Gunnison with Mr. and Mrs. Norwood Hyer. Mr. Hyer is teaching at Gunnison, Gunni-son, Utah, this year. Mrs. E. W. Gleason is a co-hostess co-hostess at a Navy Mothers dinner din-ner to be held in Salt Lake City Thursday evening. Joe Osborne left Monday for home in Los Angeles after a four-day, four-day, stay with his mother, Mrs. Millie Wykert. Mrs. John Hall and daughters, Dorothy and Jackie, of Los Angeles, An-geles, are spending their vacation vaca-tion at the home of Mrs. Johanna Hatt. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Augustson and sons ruturned Monday from their vacation in Des Moines, la. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Draper and family, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Thom-as Walker, Miss June Seal and Dal Draper enjoyed Golden Onion On-ion day at Payson Monday. Mrs. Fred Lincke returned home Friday from Salt Lake City. Mrs. Lincke has been a patient at the Holy Cross hospital for several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Whitrnore, Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Christensen and daughter, Peggy, spent Labor La-bor day week-end at Fish lake. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sonne and children, Shirley and Bobbie, returned re-turned home Sunday from Yellowstone Yel-lowstone national park. |
