| Show COUNT 1 COURT tho adjourned session commences this Mornin ir from fridays DAILY the court met this morning pursuant to adjournment in the absence of judge J D jones selectman holdaway was called to preside the petition of th omas B whitby of alpine was presented asking for the juaa of the amount of loss on an animal abold and expenses connected therewith in tho year the animal betas sold from alpine precinct pound the petition was referred to the county attorney with instructions to report if utah county is liable for said sum the verbal petition oi M E jones of achi asking the court to abandon a anin piece of county road in lehi precinct was referred to selectmen lund and holdaway the petition of S K roberts and A F whipple asking that the county road running through sections 12 and 13 township 6 south of range 2 east be changed was presented and referred to selectman holdaway at this stage the probate judge arrived and assumed tho chair P A smith ex justice 0 the peace of P Y junction presented a report of an inquest held before him over the remains of one daniel quinn on the of july the said report having been heretofore presente dand referred but no further action had been taken thereon the report was accepted and alie sum of allowed J S boyer justice of the peace of springville Spring ville precinct reported criminal cases heard before him during the quarter ending november showing fines assessed to beai 1590 the re port was accepted and the sum of 2225 allowed as colfs the item of for detective service being disallowed samuel marsh ofa pay returned his report that was referred back to him october 22 1889 for correction it having appeared that said had refunded the sum of fos oo to parties claiming the stock immediately or soon after the sale instead of letting the same pass through the county treasurer it now appears that said action was taken in pursuance of instructions from selectman page and owing to the recent ruling of judge judd at the district court th atthe law under which said sales it injury had been done to any one the report was accepted tho court then adjourned till half past 1 it is in session as we go to press |
