Mayor I Bransford Wednesday morning vetoed I both appropriations, giving as a reason j insufficiency of funds. I -Back of tho mayor's veto of the appropriations ap-propriations is the decision on the part ' of the administration to practice strict ' economy this year, made necessary by the large amount, of public impiove-monts impiove-monts the city is going to give the people. To enable the waterworks superintendent su-perintendent and tho city engineer to attend their respective conventions it is likely that the council will grant, them two weeks' leave of absonco with ray.
