Show ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF THE UNIVERSITY The annual banquet, of the members of the University of Utah Alumni association asso-ciation in honor of the incoming members mem-bers of the association who participate in the commencement exercises of this week, was held in the gymnnsium building, build-ing, Wednesday evening. Nearly four hundred banqueters sat down to a sump-ftious sump-ftious repast. Tho tables were in the shape of two largo "U's," ono smaller and within the other W. r. Ray acted as toastmaster and acquitted himself with credit, us did also those who responded. Miss Charlotte Stewart, representing the incoming class, discussed the association from tho .standpoint of the new members. Frank B. Stephens toasted the regents, and Levi Edgar Young took tho history of the university as his subject. f. R. Wallace spoke for tho older members of the association. Governor Spry and his stall wcro present and the governor responded re-sponded to a toast. Music was a foaturo of tho occasion and informal dancing followed the bau-quct bau-quct and toasts. |
