Show SEEKING RELIEF FOR HAMILTON SCHOOL The transfer Friday of pari, of the pupils attending tho Hamilton school failed to give I ho needed relief from overcrowded conditions at the latter building, and D. H. Christonsen, superintendent super-intendent of the city schools, Snturday announced tho increase of the area : transferred in tho following notice, ef-foctivo ef-foctivo Monday morning: The four blocks bounded by Sixth South on the north, Tenth Fast on the oast, Seventh South on the south and Sixth Fast on tho west will hereafter belong to tho Webster district, and not lo the Hamilton. The Webster district now includes the territory from Second South to Seventh South and from Sixth East, to Tenth East. The transfer to the Webster on Friday of a portion of the territory hero described failod to give tho needed relief to the Hamilton, and for that reason tho area transferred is now increased. Although tho distance iu some casos is great or to the Webster than to tho Hamilton, in no case will it bo necessary for 11 child transferred by this order to -walk more than three or four blocks to the Webster. |
