criminals head and referred to the judiciary committee C P no 4 for the establishment and operation of county city local or town boards of health was introduced by councilor carlisle and referred to the committee on public health C P no 18 amending an act to establish a territorial insane asylum approved february 20 1880 came up on second reading beading postponed subject to call H P no 59 the county government bill was read the second time amended and filed for third reading the reform school bill was received from the house and referred to tho committee on penitentiary and reform school recess was then taken till 2 p m 2 pm marshall from the joint committee on memorials presented a memorial congress in the form of a protest tae tremor and legislature of the ibi boval moval of certain indians from colorado to proposed propos sd in congressional house resolution no 1265 abo memorial set forth that if said indians are dangerous to the people of colorado they would be more so to the scattered settlers along green river in this territory and that their location on the reservation would be unjust to the indians there it therefore protests against such removal tho memorial was read the first time and under su pension of the rules was passed and was ordered enrolled C P no 18 the insane asylum bill was taken up on second reading and amended C P no 31 to amend chapter 12 lawa of the reform school bill was reported favorably by the committee on penitentiary and reform school adopted and filed for second reading councilor shurtliff introduced a petition from the selectmen of weber county asking that an appropriation of 1000 be made to assist in building a rock wall along the main traveled road in weber canyon near the devils gate referred to tho committee on highways adjourned HOUSE mr worth presented two petitions from residents of diute piute county asking that tho county be divided also ono from M jj shepard who asked that he be reimbursed for overpaid taxes mr thurman from the committee on judiciary reported on H P 19 a bill to change the boundaries of the first and beconi judicial districts and recommended that it be rejected alsoe P 79 a bill to amend the code of civil procedure with the recommend that it pass also favorably H P 6 with amendments a bill for an act regulating marriage the committee on elections to whom had been referred the bill to prohibit tho sale of intoxicating liquors on election day reported favorably they also recommended that CF 29 a bill to regulate the manufacture and sale of liquors be placed upon its passage the
