the amateur thespian cina the opening of this organization the elmance of a foor young man was given last saturday evening to a fair audience the piece with the exception of one or two hitches was n ell played and gave great satisfaction miss mary wilkins eight years of age brought forth great applause for the excellent manner in which she played her part the honors of the evening belong to mr brig smoot and miss ida smoot for their effective playing mr J M jensen in his old man character was good and deserved the applause that accompanied him on his exit miss lillie fc had the most difficult part of the lady characters and played it well misses ella wilkins and mamie bullock did justice to the characters they represented as also did geo Dusen bew oscar wilkins jr ed young and john H mcadam the piece is to be repeated priday and saturday evenings of next week |
