train from ogden which is due at this afternoon ran into a freight train no 19 at colton a small station east of sid ansy at this morning the freight train was moving ont of the way and siding and in a minute more would have cleared tho main trade the caboose and two freight cars were still on the main track when the passenger train crashed into them striking tho second car ahead of the caboose the car was splintered and its contents cases of naphtha were spilled and caught fire from the engine the naphtha blazed up and set fire to the car which had contained iland the flames spread to that next to it and also attacked the care of the passenger train which had literally cut through the freight train and were on each side of the naphtha car the baggage car a passenger day coach an excursion or emigrant car and two pullman sleepers were consumed general superintendent dickinsons Dickin sons special car which was attached to the train and a pullman car next to it were the only
