A new incorporation incorpora-tion has been effected here, backed principally prin-cipally by local capital, and articles of incorporation have boon tiled with the county elerk. Thc capital stock is placed at ?100;000. at a par value of $1 each. The firm Is to bo known as the Prove Valley Trout company, and Its business will bo to engago ln the trout industry. The company has secured a slxty-ncrc tract of land with springs that tlow sufficient suf-ficient to irrigate 6000 acres of ground, A large hatchery will he erected at once and ponds and runs .will be provided with revolving screens. Thc farm s located at Midway, Wasatch county, hut tho headquarters head-quarters for business will bo at. Murray. Tho president of the company ls J. R. M unlock of Hcber. and the vice president presi-dent Is Sondra Sanders; William Ti. Erck-son Erck-son of South Cottonwood ls secretary and manager, and Orson Sanders ls treasurer, with Josonh E. Nelson as director. Tho long-delayed Utah Light and Railway Rail-way company franchise, which haa been occupying tho attention of tho Murray city council for the pa3t six months, was granted by that body today ut a spoclal meeting held in the chambers of the counoll. The franclilso, it Is stated, will bo accepted as a whole, and while there aro a fov' clauses that will cause comment, com-ment, taking the franchise an a whole, Mr. Williams. In behalf of the company, is stated to have said that It would be acceptable. .Murray City will receive a 5-cent faro In the course of pIx years. The franchise stipulates that, dating from July; ll0n, to 1915, will bo the duratlpn of the 10-cent fare, and from then on a 5-cent fare shall bo ln vogue. Tho county coun-ty commissioners have manifested tholr dlsapproi'al as to the Utah Light and Railway company constructing a .double trade from Salt Lake to Murray, statlfig that It would put, State Dtrcet at a disadvantage, dis-advantage, tho railroad taking up too much space along the public thoroughfare. The franchise now stipulates that a single track Is to bo constructed, with a flftocn-mlnuto flftocn-mlnuto service, maklnrc tho round trip ono hour. Messrs. Williams and Smith represented the Utah Light and Railway company at the meeting, and were Well pleased with the way tbo business was disposed of. All tho city councllmen of Murray wero present wltft thc exception of Councilman Howe, who was unable to attend, owing to a previous engagement. As soon as the franchise ls accepted the work of laying the new steel will commence, com-mence, and It ls expected that the new track will bo ln place by tho early part of August. |
