Show KflLDSJUT WELL Magazine and Apex Veins Both Full of Splendid Milling Mill-ing Ore. RICH VIRGIN" GROUND LIES TO THE -NORTH Annual Report of Company Will Re Scut Out in Few Days. In the process of opening up the two veins on tbo Brickyard section of its Mercur domains, the Consolidated M'er-cur M'er-cur company is meeting with some of the best ore developments in its recent history-. The two veins now nit meting at ten! ion arc the Magazine and Apex, both. of which are being followed across their width and along their strike. The Apex vein has been followed for close to 200 feet along its strike, according to recent report, and its width must be over eighty feet so far. The ore is an ideal concentrating rock for the Con, Mercur. The Magazine vein has been crosscut obliquely for eighty feet from the hanging" wall, the ore averaging belter than ?G per ton gold. This is virgin territory, nnd toward the north is a great area of territory that has never been touched. As the drifts progress on both veins lo the north the gold values are being maintained main-tained splendidly, and tho management believes that these drifts will continue in such ore intlcflnitcly. Mention of these developments aro of interest for the reason that within a week the annual report will bo ready for tho stockholders. In this report General Manager George II. Dcrn has taken great painB to go into extended detail regarding ore developments, and such an improvement will be shown over last year that results will speak for tho great work the management has done. And then it is expected locally that the directors will be posting a dividend divi-dend in time for a Christmas distribution. distribu-tion. Tho company is desirous of accumulating ac-cumulating a good surplus before sharing shar-ing profits again, but this surplus is piliug up quickly. The old Consolidated Mercur is beginning be-ginning a now era. and one that will fast. When the difficulties under which the management is forced to labor are taken into consideration, the achievements achieve-ments aro splendid. Nol. only does tho company wrinjr profits from ores that would be considered too low grade usually usu-ally for profitable treatment elsewhere, 'but the one item of coal alone costs the company $30,000 more per year than it would wore the mine located at Tintic for instance. |
