Show BOSTONIANS MAKE BUSINESS VISIT TO THIS DISTRICT Gerald Wood of Boston, Mass., recently elected president of Utah Metals and Tunnel company, com-pany, and Mrs. Wood were visitors visi-tors in Bingham district from July 24-28. While here Mr. Wood and James A. Marsh made an inspection in-spection of the Utah Metals and Tunnel property in Highland Boy. Interested in development work which has been carried on by the United- States Smelting Smelt-ing Refining and Mining company com-pany since 1936, Mr. Wood expressed ex-pressed himself as pleased with progress at the mine and stated that development would be continued. con-tinued. At the present time ore is being be-ing shipped by the U. S. Mines. There is considerable ore blocked block-ed out and prospects are considered consid-ered favorable for finding more good ore bodies. Mr. Wood was elected to the presidency of Utah Metals and Tunnel company on the death of James McDonough of Boston. While in Bingham district Mr. and Mrs. Wood were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marsh at their home in Copperton. Mr. Marsh is geologist geo-logist for the Utah Metals and Tunnel company. |
