Whilo Hay was being attended at St. Mark's hospital Brunton, it is said, advanced ad-vanced him 11101103" to covor his expenses. ex-penses. Through agents, John E. DooJv. proprietor of the Dooly block, paid Jlaya considerable sum as damages for his injuries, and Jfay assigned enough of the dainaycs to Bruulon to covor tho monej advanced to him for hospital and medical expenses. Kurd of Hurd & Ilurd, atlornoys, by whom ho was represented, and J. K. Frick, as bondsmen, but it afterward after-ward was decided that he could not bo held on this, and the second charge was substituted. While Kay was in conference with his uttomoys in the Atlas block, immediately following his release in Justice Bishop's court, lie was arrested on tho second charge, nnd taken beforo Justice Dana T. Smith, whero ho furnished a slightly increased bail, $125, and was released! |
