Show West Bountiful George Freestone is bedfast with a heart condition and is at the home of his son, Robert Freestone. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Mangus from Lovell, Wyo.; Mrs. Bertha Ber-tha Ilile of Byron, and Mrs. Stella Vance from Los Angeles have been visiting at the home of Mrs. Agnes B. Mangus. They all came to be with Mrs. Walter Wal-ter Mangus who is very ill at her home. South Bountiful Church News Helen Brown took her Sunday Sun-day School class to the basket ball game last Thursday night. The Men Men of the two wards were playing, West Bountiful won the game. After the game Helen took the boys and girls to her home for a chili supper The Men Men and Gleaners of the West Bountiful ward went bowling last Friday night The stake Gold and Green ball is Saturday night. At the .regular meeting of the Town Board held Monday night, a group of citizens came to the meeting to report on the cars and trucks that go speeding speed-ing along our streets. President Telford Telford stated that any one speeding should be given a ticket, as they are breaking a law, and we want our citizens protected. Aunt Jane will be 89 Feb. 7 and Aunt Mary will be 87 Feb. 14. Please no present, lets just go and wish them a happy birthday. Henry Clawson, a brother of Loyal Clawson, came to visit the Clawson family. He had not been home for 24 years, and has been living in Idaho. A pot luck supper was held at the home of Helen Davis for some of her family members mem-bers last Saturday. There were 20 people that came and included, in-cluded, her mother Mrs. Laura C. Linn from Salt Lake, and Mrs. Janet Rampton, of Salt Lake; Mrs. Nel Haley and Mrs. Lillie Morris from Bountiful, Boun-tiful, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Roberts of Centerville. Lynn Buys, Diane Edmonds and Carol Gapinski sang some songs at Hotel Utah on Tues- so talked about the condition of the ditches in our town that are carrying sewer waste in them. Of the danger of sickness sick-ness in our community from this situation. It was decided to call in the Board of Health on this matter. Larry Alsop was present to the meeting representing the engineering firm for the water system. He said the project was almost completed, lacking only the connections that will be done when the frost goes out of the ground. The town board set the date that the $80.00 connection fee must be paid in full. This date is May 1, 1958. And there is still time to sign up for the water. A public meeting is called for Feb. 17, at 7:30, to discuss the irrigation water that will be for rent this summer. Anyone Any-one interested in renting water wa-ter for this purpose should attend at-tend this meeting. Faye Clark) is enjoying her I work in Japan. Faye has a I civil service appointment, and I is in Japan at the present time A group of ladies called on I Jewel Buys last Friday. They brought a pot luck dinner with them. Those in attendance were Signe Jensen, Ellen Freestone, Free-stone, Jane Page, Edith Deppe La Lue Peterson and Virginia Winegar from Layton. Mrs. Ruby Olson left last Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Taylor and son David have been visiting visit-ing relatives and friends. Mrs. Taylor is ' going to stay for a while and be with her mother, Verda Argyle, in her home. Mrs. Ernest Smith is home from a stay in the hospital. Mrs. Emtma Nielen has not been very good again. She gol very sick in the night lasl Thursday. |
