Kelly, manager of iho Minneapolis team of the American Baseball association, asso-ciation, was today found guilty of having hav-ing knowledge of tho filing of fnlso affidavits rotating to a charge of bribing an umpire in a professional game at Minneapolis last July, nnd has been fornver barred from any participation partici-pation whatever in affairs of tho American association. This action wns the result of a live-hours ' conference hero between members of tho board of directors and managers of tho various teams of the American association. associa-tion. Tho charge against Kelby implicated Morcnco E. Owens, who was nccused of having rendered unfair decisions in the game in question, that between tho teams of Minneapolis and Columbus. Directors horc in August exonerated Owens, and both Owens and Kelly, who had beon suspended pending investigation, investiga-tion, wero reinstated. Later further charges wero lodged against Kelly, of having filed and published pub-lished false" charges against Owens. Kolhy was found guilty on August 22, and tho matter was taken boloro tho National 13asoball commission at Cincinnati, Cin-cinnati, which body declared that it had no jurisdiction.
