Show STRIVING FOR HARMONY Representatives of Gompers Plead With Quarreling Teamsters. CHICAGO, Aug. 11. Three representatives represen-tatives of Samuel Gompers, president of the American Federation of Labor, appeared before the rival convention of tho teamsters today and urged harmonious har-monious action. J. B. Lennon, vice-president of tho Federation, and Frank Morrison, its soc-rotary. soc-rotary. arrived from Washington, and with J. D. Pierce, the national organizer, organ-izer, who is stationod here, went before be-fore tho Shoa meeting nnd later addressed ad-dressed the other session, where the anti-Shea men met. Charges of extravagance extrav-agance were mnde against Shoa and other officials at the latter convention, Sularies and expense accounts wero dis-' dis-' oussed and declared exorbitant. |
