On the Mizpah claim, and at tho Slbcrt shaft, tho 150 horso-powor olectrlc hoist, which was placed Into position not over two months ago, is doing excellent work. Tho new gallows framo at the Valley Vlow shaft has been completed and the seventy-five horso-power electric hoist Is Installed and will bo ready to begin work wlthn the present week. Tho gallows frame at the Red Plume shaft Is on tho ground and tho company will havo It Into position within a very short time. On tho 400 and 500-foot levels tho management man-agement Is cross-.cuttlng tho Red Plumo vein, with results that havo moro than mot tho expectations of tho company. On account of tho disaster at San Francisco, somo parts of tho mill could not bo obtained ob-tained as soon as desired, and for this roason the work upon tho mill has been delayed considerably, but It Is thought that tho plant will bo placed In commission commis-sion beforo the expiration of tho present year.
