Show , v Relief Society Social Tuesday Preceding the Relief society program and social Tuesday afternoon af-ternoon at Bingham L. D. S. ward chapel, a business meeting with Mrs. Jane Spendlove, president, presi-dent, conducting, saw the release of Mrs. Elnora Peterson as second sec-ond counselor. Mrs. Pearl Robi-son Robi-son was elected successor, and Mrs. Amy Snow was voted literary liter-ary class leader. Twenty-four new Relief society song books, bound in blue and gold, were passed out to members. Mrs. Rita McNeely gave the invocation. Program numbers following included a song, by Singing Mothers; a talk on "Patriotism" "Pat-riotism" by Mrs. Phoebe Siddo-way; Siddo-way; a piano selection, Mrs. Mabel Ma-bel Shelley; a drama, "The Right and The Wrong Way", by Mrs. Blanche Reid and colleagues; A piano solo, Mrs. Lucille Byrnes; character story, Mrs. Mabel Boberg; song skit, Mrs. Fontella Jewett, Mrs. Ruby Day, Mrs. Lola Sorenson, Mrs. Flossie Ramsey and Mrs. Nora Austin at the piano; Reading, Mrs. Ada Curtis; original orig-inal composition, "A Toast to the Relief Society", by Mrs. Victoria Lyon, sung by group; benediction, benedic-tion, Mrs. Lavantha Garrett. Three stake officers, Mrs. Jane Morgan, Mrs. Mary Turner and Mrs. Phoebe Mitchell, were present. pres-ent. Refreshments were served to thirty-three by Mrs. Ella Cook and Mrs. Dora Ivie. The program was arranged by Mrs. Spendlove and Mrs. Siddoway, and the chapel beautifully decorated with garden flowers, plants, Relief society emblems and pennants by Mrs. Leola Strand. |
