Wideman, Mrs. Louis Watson, Mrs. William Atkinson, Miss Harriet Har-riet Atkinson. j Mr. and Mrs. Frank Barton of Blanding, Utah, came Saturday to be guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Wes-ley Barton and be present at the christening of their two-and-a-half month old granddaughters, Carolyn and Kathryn, at the Bingham ward L. D. S. meeting Sunday evening. Enjoying a picnic in Big Cottonwood Cot-tonwood Friday were Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Carter and son, Dickie, Dan Delaney and Miss Doreen Manninn. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Thomas of the Copper Gate apartment are receiving congratulations on the birth of a daughter at their home July 7. This week a group of 25 girls from Lark, who ride to Bingham on a school bus, enrolled ut the Bingham Central school playground, play-ground, Miss Helen Loveless, playground supervisor, reports. The Copperton playground, at the Copperton grade school from 2-4 p. m. each Wednesday and Friday, now lias .'ia youngsters enrolled in the dancing, handi craft and tennis classes. Duretta Larsen Atkinson of Lark is a member of the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young university summer school. The first term ends July 19 and the Alpine term at Aspen Grove will commence July 22. Mr. and Mrs. James Marsh of Copperton and son, Albert Marsh, and Miss Leora Timothy returned return-ed Sunday from a five-day stay in Yellowstone national park. Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Warner and daughters, Mildred, Dorothy and Maxine, of Copperton, left yesterday yester-day for a 10-day vacation in San Francisco. The Copperton and Bingham ! junior bands, accompanied by Instructor In-structor Joel P. Jensen, Mrs. Robert Ro-bert Jenkins, Barbara Jenkins, Robert Krueger, Venice Williams and Cleo Groves, and transported transport-ed by a school bus driven by Parley Jones, enjoyed a swim and picnic at Saratoga Tuesday afternoon. There were 44 present. Mrs. A. J. Withey of Salt Lake City entertained last evening at j a shower in compliment to Mrs. ! Aaron Levi Parks of Bingham, a recent bride, who is the former Miss Helen Louise Withey. Miss Margaret Ireland visited in Provo Independence day with Mr. and Mrs. B. P. Broadbent. Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Ireland and granddaughter, Colleen Ireland, spent last week-end at Grand-daddy Grand-daddy lakes. Mrs. Ezra Kennedy of Aurora, Utah, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. W. E. Day. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Shelley and daughters, Gail and Norma, of Apex Mine, returned Sunday from four days in Idaho and Yellowstone park. Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Rogers and daughter, Helen Louise, of Copperton, Cop-perton, and Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Smith of Logan and J. E. Shepard J of Hilo, Hawaii, leave tomorrow ! for a week in Yellowstone park. Mrs. H. R. Alger Baum and son, Julian Baum, Billie Porter and O. G. Muir returned Sunday from a four-day fishing trip at Bear lake, Wyoming. Mr. and Mrs. Ferrol Pearce and daughters and Glen Gardner of Los Angeles were Fourth of July guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Wes-ley Barton. Mrs. Pearce and Mr. Gardner are a sister and brother of Mrs. Barton. John Vietti left Friday evening even-ing for Colorado Springs, Colo., where he will spend several weeks taking hot bath treatments. Spending Sunday in Big Cottonwood Cot-tonwood canyon were Mr. and Mrs. Arne Valeheck, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zaccaria, Mike Kok-les, Kok-les, Miss Gladys Donovan of Seal City, Iowa, Holman "Peewee" Bass and Miss Edna Hoi-Harold Hoi-Harold Mattice of Lark, student stu-dent body president-elect of Bingham high school and son of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Mattice of Lark, was elected mayor of Bundy city on the Federalist ticket at Boys State, Camp W. G. Williams at Jordan Narrows Tuesday. |
