Show Miss Margaret Mellon from Venice, Cal., visited several days this week at the home of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Stephan Pickering. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Dunkley of Los Angeles, Cal., and Mrs. Joseph Jo-seph Dunkley of American Fork were guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. K. Brown Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schick and family left Wednesday morning for the Mirror Lake region where they will enjoy a nine days' camping trip. Eleven members of the Re-bekah Re-bekah lodge met at the home of Mrs. Don Laycock Tuesday evening. ev-ening. Mrs. C. E. Poulsen and Mrs. L. B. Parkins visited relatives at Holladay Tuesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. James Denver and son, Bill, spent the Fourth of July holiday at Midway at Luke's Hot Pots resort. Excavation work was begun on the L. D. S. Chapel last Wednesday Wednes-day evening. Crews of voluntary ward members and priesthood boys under the supervision of the bishopric have worked every evening since and the work is now well under way. Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Cowdell and family spent the Fourth of July week-end fishing in Big Cottonwood canyon. Mrs. Heber Nichols entertained entertain-ed at a bridge luncheon Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon. Mrs. C. F. Sul-lenger, Sul-lenger, Mrs. James Denver and Mrs. Frank Mead were guests. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Nichols and sons left Sunday on a fishing trip to Mirror lake. Mrs. W. T. Rogers and daughter, daugh-ter, Helen, returned home Sunday Sun-day from Logan where they had been visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Wells and son, Bob, left yesterday (Thursday), (Thurs-day), on a two week's vacation to Yellowstone park.
