Show AUTO IS DESTROYED AID OWNER IHJURED I Ray E. Bocs the Central Figure in an Accident a the Salt Palace. Ray E. Boc? of 076 South Sixth East street, a son of J. F. Boes. Jeweler at 250 South ' Main slrcel, was severely burned about the hands and arms in an automobile accident at the Salt Palace Pal-ace Sunday night and his machine practically prac-tically was destroyed by rlro. As Mr. Boos put It, "two screws and oho nut were left after the mishap." Ills loss is about ISO. Gasoline was running from the carbureter car-bureter when Mr. Boes returned to his machine to come up town and he craVled under tho auto to remedy the trouble. Two or threo men approached. Mr. Boos says, smoking, and he is of opinion, that a spalk from a cigar fell In lliu gasoline. At least there was an explosion before Mr. Boes could get from under the machine and he was badly burned nnd bis amo wns set on fire, ruining It. the woodwork being entirely consumed. con-sumed. It was two-sea till runabout. Tho fire department wns called, for fear of the fire spreading to other property. |
