Show ins. Mil l ymv PASSES AM AT PROVO She Was a Well-Known Woman of That City; Other News Items. Special to Tho Tribune. PROVO. July a2. Mary B, McGraw. mother of Attorney P. A. McGraw of Provo, died at the family residence last evening at 7 o'clock from spinal scll-nosla. scll-nosla. This ailment had kept her to bed for nbout a year, during which tlmo there was no hope of recovery. Mrs. McGraw was born In Virginia in 1S-II. Immediately aftor her marriage sho and her husband made their homo In Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, where her four children, all boys, were born. The McGraws moved to Provo In 18S5, but shortly after their arrival hero tho husband and tho oldest son were Killed accidentally while hauling timber out of Provo canyon. This left Mrs. McGraw with three boys, Tom. Harry and Frank, to rear. She was a fond and constant mother, possessed of considerable business busi-ness acumen. Tho boys were well raised and all received liberal educations. Dr. Harry McGraw Is a graduate of Harvard Har-vard college and Is now at the head of the State Medical department of Colorado. Colo-rado. Tom Is a graduate from a pharmacy phar-macy school and is now In the drug store business in Portland, Or., while Frank Is a graduate from the law school of Michigan and Is now practicing law in Provo. Dr. McGraw is expected here from Denver tomorrow afternoon nnd It is thought that Tom will reach here from Oregon In time for the funeral Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon at 2 o'clock. The funeral services will be hold at the family residence. resi-dence. The International Book company has commenced suit against Jesse Hall of Payson to recover $10.30. alleged to ho due on a courso of instruction given through correspondence. c In tho case of the State vs. Thomas Wilson. Jr.. of Tayson, charged with an assault upon J. T. Wlgnall, alleged to havo been committed on April 25, the defondant has been bound over to await i the action of tho District court. |
