Tho llrst Is tho oratorical contest on Wednesday next at tho West Side Hrgh school, when the Spirit of Liberty chapter, Daughters of tho American Amer-ican Revolution, will present a cold medal to the girl whom tho Judges shall decld to be "the winner In the contest One week from tomorrow night Dr Talmage will give a lecture on 'Russia" at Barratt hall, the proceeda to bo devoted to the University of Utah gymnasium fund. Thcso are the only important events scheduled for the immediate future In club life Election Committee Chosen, in preparation for the annual election Of "fin era, to bo held the second Ftida t' May, the president of the Ladles' Literary club on Friday appointed the election committee, Including Bfra Charles 11 Me-Mahon, Me-Mahon, Mrs. John T.
