LIVE TURTLES INSIDE Cat Eats the Eggs and They Hatch Young Ones. PORT JERVIS, Aug. 12.-Alonzo Murphy Mur-phy of Pochuck, Pa., recently captured a Hnapping turtle, which his wife made Into soup. Tho family cat was given a portion of tho carcaBs and a number of egga found In the turtle. Tho other morning the cat died, and aa Mr. Murphy was burying the animal tho fur parted and there emerged eleven small turtles, one after the other. Mr. Murphy's theory Is that the cat had swallowed the eggs wholo, and, being unable un-able to digest them by reason of the shells, tho stomach of tho cat acted as an Incubator and hatched tho eggs, tho young turtles clawing and biting their way to freedom.
