Show RABBIT HUNT OPENTO PUBLIC At the regular conjoint meeting meet-ing of the Bingham Volunteer Hre Departments Nos. 1 and 2 held at the No. 1 Fire Hall Tuesday Tues-day evening, it was decided to hold the annual rabbit hunt during dur-ing the month of November. Members of Murray, Mid vale and Salt Lake County fire departments depart-ments will be asked to participate partici-pate in the hunt as well as town peeople of the different communities. com-munities. President Ray Tatton named John J. Creedon chairman; chair-man; John O'Brien, Clinton Robi-son Robi-son and Jack Householder from company No. 1; and J. L. Householder, House-holder, LaVel Timothy, Parker Gray and John West from company com-pany No. 2, as committeemen to meet with Murray, Midvale and Salt Lake County Firemen to make arrangements. Anyone residing re-siding in Bingham interested in going on the hunt is asked to contact Mr. Creedon. Ernest Smith, chief of the Murray fire department and president of the Utah State Firemen's Fire-men's Ass'n., was present at the meeting and presented the Bingham Bing-ham volunteer firemen with a placque for participation in contest con-test events at the state convention conven-tion held in Logan the latter part of August. Chief Ray Tatton accepted ac-cepted the trophy and made response. re-sponse. Other members from Murray in attendance at the meeting included: in-cluded: John Clays, chief of Salt Lake County fire department No. 1; William Bringrose, Hodge Tauffer and Axel Limberg. Bert Hocking reported that Jack Whitmore, an ex-Bingham fireman, recently passed away at his home in Springville. Mr. Hocking spoke of the many activities acti-vities performed for the good of the Bingham fire departments while he was a member. A one minute silent tribute was paid Mr. Whitmore by the firemen present. |
