Muir brought together Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lee and daughter, daugh-ter, Joyce, of Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Muir of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Muir of Bountiful, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lavton of Lay ton; Mrs. Kenneth Coltrin of Norfolk, Va. Elliott W. Evans, national director di-rector for the United States junior ju-nior chamber of commerce, attended at-tended the anniversary of their charter night banquet at Nephi Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Thomas entertained at dinner last evening eve-ning for Mr. and Mrs. John Blackler of Battle Creek, Mich-, and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Thomas of Lark. O LOCAL NOTES Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Mrs. Charles Murano entertained enter-tained Tuesday evening for the Thimble club- Luncheon was served to nine. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kemp and Mrs. Theo Chesler returned Monday evening from Afton. Wyo., where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Larson and Mr. and Mrs. Francis C. Oswald. Mrs. Esther Clough of Salt Lake City visited her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and, Mrs. Harold Clough, last week-end. Mrs. Dorius Adams arranged a bridge luncheon the afternoon of January 16 for the following friends, Mrs. E. J. Householder, Mrs. J- L. Householder, Mrs. El-wood El-wood Johnson, Mrs. Leonard Miller, Mil-ler, Mrs. Parker Gray. Prize at cards went to Mrs. E. J. Householder. House-holder. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hafen, formerly of Richficla, are now living at the Miller apartments. Mr. Hafen is employed at the Safeway store. Mrs. Forrest I. Adams was hostess hos-tess last Friday at a bridge luncheon lun-cheon for members- of her club. Prizes went to Mrs. Bryan Bird and Mrs. b. J. uranquist- Mrs. Harvey Wolfe was the invited guest. Leland G. Burress, editor of the Bingham Bulletin, attended the Utah State Press association meeting at the Newhouse hotel Saturday and Sunday. Speakers were Don Belding of Los Angeles, Angel-es, president of the Pacific Advertising Ad-vertising Clubs association;; Charles L. Wheeler, president of the Salt Lake chamber of commerce; com-merce; Governor Herbert B. Maw and Julian M- Bamberger, president of the Utah Traffic Safety council. Mr. Burress also attended the Salt Lake Advertising Advertis-ing club meeting Friday and the official opening and luncheon at the new offices of the Western Newspaper Union on Pierpont street Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Fenton and sons, Jack and Fred, of Highland Boy, will leave soon to make their home in Salt Lake City, where Mr. Fenton has accepted a position with the U. S. bureau of mines.
