Show SPORTSMEN MEET TO CONSIDER GOOD 1941 LEGISLATION The advisability of changing the present Utah Fish and Game commission set-up through legislation legis-lation was discussed at a meeting meet-ing held Thursday evening at the City hall. Sportsmen throughout Utah favor the alteration of present laws to enlarge the one-man form of commission to a three-man three-man commission to superintend separate departments for fish, large game such as deer and elk and another to be in charge of birds. During the past several years there has been a powerful lobbying lob-bying interest in the state composed com-posed of farmers from southern Utah that has influenced the commission to the extent that if deer continue to be killed at the rate they have in the past two years in all probability Utah deer will soon be nearly extinct. Sportsmen also contend that fishing in our state is much poorer poor-er than in surrounding states and that something should be done to improve the sport. The Izaak Walton league of Salt Lake county was in charge of the meeting and a large group from Bingham was in attendance-Local attendance-Local sportsmen organized an Izaak Walton league in Bingham at Thursday's meeting and voted to become affiliated with the national na-tional organization.
