Show MUSIC PROGRAM WELLRECEIYED The eighty-five Women's Civic club members and guests were delighted with a musical romance ro-mance as told by Zola Jacobs McGhie of Murray at the Bingham Bing-ham high school Wednesday evening. eve-ning. Mrs. McGhie was ably assisted as-sisted by Miss Nina Kinghorn as accompanist and M- Kenneth Rogerson, baritone, both of Salt Lake City. Most sympathetic reception was given Mrs. McGhie's singing of Friml's "Only a Rose". The duet, "Love Me Tonight", by Mrs. McGhie Mc-Ghie and Mr. Rogerson was another ano-ther high spot in the absorbing entertainment. Robert Colyar of Copperton played with artistry two piano solos, "Don Quixote Visits Vienna" Vi-enna" by Powell Weaver, a satire sa-tire in the modern manner, and "The Nightingale" by Franz Liszt. Mrs. Edwin Johnson read the club prayer following singing of "America", with Mr. Colyar at the piano. |
