Show HIGH SCHOOL CADETS DANCE First of Series of Entertainments by tho Organization. Tho High school cadotu gave tho first of a scries of threo entertainments last evening end Chrlstcnsen's hall has not held so large a crowd this season as that which gathered for this event. It Is worthy of remark that the young soldiers made up ns manly a gathering as ono could wish to see, duo In a large mensuro to tho dignity that comes with a uniform and the discipline of tho school and cadet corps. The entertainments are for tho purpose pur-pose of raising funds with which to further fur-ther equip tho boys, and next month a clover show will bo given In tho theater with another dance Inter on. In preparation prepara-tion also Is tho annual encampment In tho first week of June. It was estimated that over 500 attended the dance last night and the scene was extremely bright, the hall being decorated In United States Hags and tho class Hags and colors of tho two schools, West Sldo and East Side. The Chrlstensen orchestra of six pieces furnishedi splendid music and tho young people entered Into the spirit of tho dance with that enthusiasm which Is only known to tho school days. Lemonado was served In tho reception-room and until midnight the music nnd merriment were kept up. |
