The Boy Scouts are reorganising. reorgani-sing. They are fortunate in the leadership of Runar Martinson, Eli Tomas and Nick Yenkich. The woodwork class has been busy making bric-a-brac shelves, bathroom handy shelves and hot pot pad holders for their homes. Some of the articles were displayed dis-played at the western jurisdictional jurisdict-ional meeting of the Women's Society of Christian Service at Denver early this month, along with a picture exhibit of Highland High-land Boy. ! Mike Churich, Miss Mary Lov- erich, Mike Loverich, Peter Lov-erich Lov-erich and Andrew Savich attended attend-ed the wedding of Pete Churich and Ann Klasna at Salt Lake City Sunday. George Smiljanich and Telles Error were among those to receive re-ceive citizenship papers November Novem-ber 27 at Salt Lake City. Among the girls from Highland Boy attending a Minerette theatre thea-tre party Friday were Marie Az-zelio, Az-zelio, Gena Scorzato, Leslie Cleaves and Erma Sponga. Mrs. Stella Brodie of Salt Lake City was a week-end visitor at the home of Mrs. Mary Mathurin. She is formerly of Highland Boy and enjoyed visiting with old friends and neighbors, returning return-ing home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Azzelio and granddaughter, Josephine Rottini, went swimming Tuesday at the Wasatch plunge and stopped stop-ped over later in Salt Lake City on business. Miss Mary Pazell was a business busi-ness visitor in Salt Lake City Wednesday. Those enjoying a trip to Salt Lake City Thursday were Erma Sponga, Katie Yengich and Nick Yengich. Lily Bolic was a business visitor visi-tor in Salt Lake City Wednesday. Wednes-day. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hetrick spent Monday in Salt Lake City on business. Miss Ann Gerbich was congratulated congra-tulated Wednesday, December 3, on her fifteenth birthday. Residents of Highland Boy for over 25 years, Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Austin moved into a recently-purchased home in Tooele Too-ele Wednesday. Their new address ad-dress is 192 South Second West, Tooele. During the years he has been in Highland Boy, Mr. Austin Aus-tin has been employed by the same company at the offices of the Utah Consolidated, Utah Delaware Del-aware and National Tunnel and Mines company. The couple have three daughters, Miss Florence and Miss Margaret, University of Utah students, and Helen Austin. Aus-tin. Funeral mass for Matt Blocko-vich Blocko-vich was held Saturday morning at the Holy Rosary Catholic church in Bingham with the Rev. Daniel E. Leahy officiating. Pallbearers Pall-bearers were John Predovich, John Arko, Matt Pazell, Nick Bolic, George Zdunich and Pete Kosovich. Graveside services were conducted by Slava Bogu lodge No. 368 and S.M.P.J. lodge. Interment was in Bingham City cemetery under direction of the Bingham mortuary . |
