In a letter from there Mr. Kennelly says the mercury has risen to 106 in the shade, and that work underground affords the only avenue of escape. Plenty of capital, he writes, Is ready to rush In as soon as the weather modifies, and he looks for considerable con-siderable activity throughout the- region this fall. Several meritorious prospects have been taken hold of by men of resources re-sources In which good values are revealed re-vealed in gold and copper, silver and lead, while negotiations for others that "have been sampled are going on through the malls. In the trip over the desert his party encountered the bodies of two persons who had died of thirst six miles out of Ivanpah. In conclusion Mr. Kennelly, who was for so many years Identified with the mines of Park City, says that Good Springs will undoubtedly be made one of the most productive camps In the Southwest. |
