All Over the West Because of His Work in. tho Interest of Horticulture, Horticul-ture, Falls la Victim to Disease, I J. A. Wright died at his homo In this city last niirht after a prolonged illness. No arrangements havo yet been made for the funeral. Ho louves a wife and two daughters. Mr. Wright was a well-known citizen of Utah, rcsidlnc for a number of years at Ogden. He was appointed a member of tho State Board of Horticulture on the creation 'of that board by law, and served a full term with great acceptance as its secretary. He was professor of Horticulture Horticul-ture at tho Agricultural college at Logan In 1M2, and resigned that position to become be-come editor of tho lntermo'untaln Farmer. Far-mer. In every position Mr. Wright displayed dis-played great ability and sound knowledge, lie was a lovable man. Rood company, and faithful and sure In his friendships The refusal of the Governor to reappoint him last year on tho State Board of Horticulture Hor-ticulture was a scvero blow to him, from which he never recovered. Mr. Wright will be greatly missed among tho practical men of tho State In horticulture and general agricultural knowledge and progress.
